of our 2012 Project 52*
(*give or take a week here and there for vacations)
Our theme for this month is "devotion."
Hi, my name is Lease, and I am a recovering snob. A recovering "breed" snob, that is.
For as long as I can remember, I've always had Shih Tzus in my life. I even gave the Hunk a Shi Tzu pup from one of our litters. When we were planning to add to our family, I was considering the same breed and did some research on where we would source our puppy.
Then, I happened to visit our neighbors dog and her babies, and fell in love. Yes, I fell in love with our dawg, Friday from the first moment I saw him. I can't even tell you what his breed is. More importantly, I didn't care what his lineage was. All I knew was that he was going to be part of our family from then on.
We love him. And, he loves us back.
He knows the sound of my car engine, and alerts everyone about my arrival even before I walk in the door. There's the super enthusiastic tail wagging that welcomes me home from a tiring work day and occasional draining commute. We both have temperament issues, but we are working on it. He is devoted to me, and I, to him. He is my designated stress reliever and therapist. He is this woman's best friend (of the canine kind).
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
