the elusive drop of water

Week #33
of our 2011 Project 52*
(*give or take a week here and there for vacations)
This month's theme is...water!

For this week's photography project, I wanted to capture a single drop of water.  When my 4 year old decided to water the plants in our container garden, I saw it as the perfect opportunity.

I had a difficult time.  Maybe it was because my subject had many layers.  To much visual noise.

It seemed as though my focus was off.  It looked OK on the camera's LCD screen, but when I uploaded onto our Mac, the pictures were not as sharp as I wanted them to be.

But I always believed that the pictures I take reflected my mood.  So based on the pictures in this set, I can very well say that I was a little out of focus that day.  Whether it was deliberate or the involuntary result of having to focus on so many things that day.

Let the photos speak for themselves.  I will say, though, that I had fun with this experiment/project.

Have yourself a restful weekend!

I'll admit it, I was drawn to your site by the vague promise of a chocolate shake, but once here I settled in for a long stay and will definitely be back. I love the the photos and the whole feel of your blog.
