the bay and the Pacific

Week #32
of our 2011 Project 52*
(*give or take a week here and there for vacations)
This month's theme is...water!

I will be honest.  This set of pictures was taken a few moons ago.  I actually thought I wrote a post about our trip, but for the life of me, I could not find the post.

We spent a good day in Crissy Field just taking in a perfect summer day in the wonderful city of San Francisco.  The sun was out.  A cool breeze made walking by the shore a treat for the kids and adults.

We walked aimlessly about the area.  Stopping to get a hotdog (or two) at a local stand.  Brought back memories of our NY trip, and the kids predisposition for street food.

Of course, in San Francisco, you can find humanely raised grass-fed beef for hot dogs.  Nothing less for the kids in our life (and the peeps of SF).

Armed with food and drinks, we found a nice spot on the breakers to watch the waters ebb and flow.  Taking in the sights and sounds of the bay area and the Pacific ocean beyond the bridge.

There's nothing more relaxing than the sound of the water gently splashing against the rocks.  (Well maybe the sound of the waters in Maui...)

Hope you have a relaxing weekend!
