Week #5
of our 2011 Project 52*
(*give or take a week here and there for vacations)

For 2011, our photography projects will be based on a monthly theme.
This month's theme is immeasurable

When I was thinking about this week's photography project - I had a difficult time interpreting faith.
Then the fog rolled in, and I thought to myself what better way to illustrate faith as an immeasurable than commuters driving onto a bridge shielded by thick fog?

The San Francisco Bay area has been besieged by fog in the last few weeks.  Fog so thick that it sometimes does not burn off by mid-day.

The first cantilever section of the bridge is still visible in this one...

As you can see a thick mist is about to roll in and block visibility of the whole first section of the bridge..

The Hunk and I always talk about how we just drive on to the next section of the bridge.  It's still there, right?

That being said, this picture paints another story as the rest of the bridge disappears into the fog.  Or, the fog consumes the bridge...

I call it faith...

You need to have faith on days like these.

Going into the fog without knowing what lies ahead.  Faith.  Or, running late?  You decide.

Happy weekend, folks!

I think your dead on. Faith is only as good as the object you place it on. Faith is believing what you can't see (or know for sure.) It's not something you conjure up from inside yourself.I have faith in my husband because I know him well, and like your bridge he has proven to be stable. There, I think I understand it better now. Thanks
