or Project 52
If I were to create a portfolio of favorite pictures for 2010, these would definitely be included. What I am finding is that the unexpected shots are what I love the most - those captured spur-of-the-moment without any prep work at all. Others I love because they embody what I was feeling at the moment the picture was taken...
Let me take you through some of my faves...
San Francisco, California
Taken on a stormy day. I ran off to find a spot and snapped away.
I did not even get a chance to preview my shots before I ducked into our car to escape the down pour.
All I can say is that I am extremely proud of this one.
I had been to 2 funerals in the last 2 months prior to attending a party for
a "can't believe she's ninety" grandmama.
She embodies a zest for life and a lovely sense of humor
that makes me grateful for life on planet earth.
90 candles. One can hope.
The analytical person in me was in full throttle taking "macro" shots
with our (then) new lens extender. I also loved playing around with Photoshop
discovering ways to highlight and downplay.
I quick turn through an unfamiliar road brought us to this baby.
It reminds me of Gone with the Wind.
There she stands tall and proud amidst the new developments in her midst.
Downtown Napa, California
Another quick drive and walk through Napa.
I snapped away as the kids were playing in the promenade.
I feel like crying every time I see this picture.
I don't really know why.
I can't explain it because we had so much fun watching the kids goof around.
Ka'anapali, Maui, Hawai'i
Sun. Sandy Beaches. Housekeeping and Room Service.
What more can one ask for?
Somewhat sentimental but looking forward with hope for the coming year. Thanks for following our journey thus far.
*p.s. It's the last week of the year, yet I only have 50 weeks running? Oh yeah, I took 2 weeks vacation somewhere in there....
