july flowers

Week #29

I didn't have to venture far for this weeks photography project.  A new batch of blooms from our garden.

In May, we showed you the first batch of flowers from our rose garden.  Well, we've had a few more since then.
In case you want to know, we get our roses from Jackson and Perkins.  These were a Mother's day gift from a few years back.

A dozen or so bare root plants arrived one fine day in May, and our garden has slowly been showcasing these beauties out season after season.

You could say that I went through a 'rose' phase.  I bought a few more to add to my collection.  I also have a couple of tree roses in our front yard.

These are fragrant hybrid teas.  I also have a few floribundas, and a couple of my favorite grandifloras in soft pinks.

This particular one has a sweet honey scent.  If they ever invent a 'scratch and sniff' widget for blogs, I would be the first one to sign up and offer the service to readers.

But let's take it a step further and show you another set of these pictures (with a touch of photoshop action):

Have a great weekend, folks!
