This is a common sight wherever you go in Maui. White sandy beaches, surfers waiting for the tide to swell.
They patiently wade through the waters on their boards. Waiting for the perfect wave. The tallest one, if you will.
Wait for it. Wait for it!
And, then when the big one picks up, they stand on their board, and ride the wave.
They make it look so easy. (upsound: Hawaii 5-0 music, please)
You just want to unload your own surf board from your car and run to the waters.
Before you know it, you inner surfer has been unleashed even though you don't really surf.
Until the swell recedes.
One thing is for sure though --- you'll be back tomorrow around high tide.
