Farmers for a Day: Strawberries!

Summer is officially here!

What do we do the first weekend that the kids are out of school?

We hit the...farms!

There were so many to pick from - nectarines, apricots, peaches...?



We went with what the kids loved...strawberries!





There were rows, and rows, and rows like these...

From afar, it looked like there was nothing there...



But upon closer inspection, you find little hidden treasures like these babies...




...and these...




Oh, and did I mention the scent that greeted you when you got to the farm? Imagine the scent of strawberries when you first open a carton...hold that thought, and then multiply that by 200. It hits you the moment you walk into the lot.




You will see that we found a lot of hidden treasure, and went home with this box...



And these boxes, as well...

Our house is bursting at the seams with strawberries...
